There are several ways parishioners can serve in our Parish.
New members are always welcome to volunteer and may contact the
coordinators listed below for any training and scheduling details.
Ministry of Hospitality
Ministers of Hospitality greet people as they arrive at
the church, distribute the Breaking Bread hymn book and direct
people to available seats. They also take up the collection and usher
worshipers to receive Holy Communion. After the Liturgy, the ministers
hand out the current parish bulletin. Another opportunity to serve is
the Sunday Social after Mass.

Ministry of the Word
Ministers of the Word (Lectors) proclaim the two readings
during the Liturgy and lead the Prayers of the Faithful.

Ministry of the Eucharist
Ministers of the Eucharistic distribute Holy Communion
(the Body and Blood of Christ) to the congregation during the Liturgy.

Ministry of Music
Music Ministers lead the singing during the Liturgy and
on special occasions. Practices are generally held 30 to 45 minutes
before both Saturday and Sunday Masses as well as most Saturdays after
Mass.

Ministry of Altar Servers
Altar Servers assist the Presider during the Liturgy. The
minimum age for volunteers is 9. The scheduling coordinator is
Michael Putzien, who can be contacted through the Parish Office.
Ministry of Teaching
Ministers of Teaching, through our Religious Formation
programs, prepare the children of the Parish
for the sacraments of First Communion and Confirmation, lead the
Children’s Liturgy of the Word and organize Family Masses.
The coordinator for the weekly Children's Liturgy of the Word is Benjie
Dimauanahan, who can be contacted at (069) 9288 6793. The coordinator for the 2007-2008 First Communion
program is Annette
Caulfield.
Ministry of Social Outreach
The Ministry of Social Outreach involves both donations of items
such as clothing or toys and the giving of time such as work with soup
kitchens or distributing donations to charitable organizations. Some of
the agencies this Ministry has helped include family and women's
shelters in Frankfurt and Wiesbaden, the refugee center in Bielefeld,
the Liebfrauenkirche and Diakonie services for the homeless in Frankfurt
and the Sleep In shelter for street children in Frankfurt. The
coordinator is Monika Clifft.
