Events in July-August 2015

The Parish Office will be closed every Friday in July and August. The full three-day weekly schedule will resume the first week of September. During the summer, the office will hold its standard opening hours 9:00am-2:00pm Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Saturday, 4th July, 7:30pm, and Sunday, 5th July, 9:30am
: Mass of the 14th Sunday in Ordinary Time, followed immediately by an Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, with meditations and music. Note: No after-Mass coffee socials this weekend.
TRAFFIC ALERT for Sunday, 5th July: Frankfurt Ironman triathlon takes place, and street traffic downtown will be blocked or disrupted (also affecting a number of tram and bus lines that don't serve the city center directly). Please plan to use the S-Bahn/U-Bahn train network to reach Holy Cross Church (U7 line, Eissporthalle/Festhalle stop, see
directions page). For those who must drive to church, please avoid central Frankfurt streets, especially along the river; the easiest highway access will be via A661 Autobahn southbound, exit 14 (that exit on the northbound A661 may not be usable, but the highway itself should be unaffected).

Sunday, 16th August, 9:30am: Mass of the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, with the after-Mass social hosted by members of the French-speaking community.

Events in September 2015

Saturday, 5th September, 9:00am-3:00pm: Annual ecumenical charity walk of the English-speaking churches of Frankfurt along the St. Boniface Route.

Sunday, 6th September, 9:30am
: Mass of the 23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time, including Marian celebration, followed in the social hall by the annual festival in honor of the Birth of the Virgin Mary, hosted by parishioners from the Indian Subcontinent.

Saturday, 12th September, 3:30pm
: Foreign-language parishes of the Diocese of Limburg celebrate their annual joint German-language Mass in honor of the traditional birthday of the Virgin Mary, at Frauenfriedenskirche,
Zeppelinallee 101, 60487 Frankfurt (Bockenheim district); 7:30pm: St. Leonhard's Parish weekly English-language Vigil Mass at Holy Cross.

Events Later in 2015

Sunday, 18th October, 9:30am: Mass of the 29th Sunday in Ordinary Time, followed by the second annual autumnal festival hosted by parishioners from Africa.

Saturday, 7th November, and Sunday, 8th November: Parish Council elections, with the polling station open one hour following each of the weekend Masses in the storage room next to the social hall. Adults in households registered as members of St. Leonhard's International English-Speaking Parish are eligible to vote. To ensure that your registration is up to date, please contact the Parish Office at tel. (069) 28 31 77 or Parish Council member Nancy Clements at tel.
