Events in August 2014
Note: The Parish Office is closed
Fridays during July and August. The office is operating on normal
opening times on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during those months.
Sunday, 17th August, 9:30am:
Mass of the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary,
featuring French-language hymns and followed by a celebration by the
parish's Francophone community in the Holy Cross Social Hall.
Parishioners are asked to bring food or drinks to share in this
French-themed festival; please contact Parish Council member

Saturday, 30th August, 7:30pm:
Vigil Mass of the 22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time, followed by
meditations during the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.
Note: No after-Mass coffee social this evening.

Mass of the 22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time, followed by meditations
during the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. Note: No

Events in September 2014
Saturday, 20th September,
ecumenical charity walk along the St. Boniface Trail by the
English-language parishes of Frankfurt, starting in the city center
at Liebfrauenkirche, Liebfrauenberg, 60311 Frankfurt; 5:00pm:
Joint Mass of
the Diocese of Limburg foreign-language Roman Catholic Parishes in honor of the traditional
Birth of the Virgin Mary, with Auxiliary Bishop Thomas Löhr
presiding, at Frauenfriedenkirche, Zeppelinallee 100, 60487 Frankfurt
(Bornheim district). Note: No English-language Mass takes
place at Holy Cross this evening.
Sunday, 21st September, 9:30am:
Mass of the 25th Sunday in Ordinary Time, including Marian hymns in
various languages of the Indian Subcontinent, followed by the annual
festival in honor of the traditional Birth of the Virgin Mary in
September hosted in the Holy Cross social hall by parishioners from

November, 9:30am: Mass of the 33rd Sunday in Ordinary
Time, including Remembrance Day commemorations of military personnel
killed in war.
Sunday, 23rd November, 9:30am:
Mass of the Feast of Christ the King, followed in the social hall by
a Thanksgiving festival hosted by the parish's American community.
Saturday, 29th November, 9:00am-5:00pm*: Advent Day of
Reflection (location and precise time to be announced).
Saturday, 13th December, 7:30pm: Vigil Mass for the 3rd
Sunday of Advent takes place in the Holy Cross social hall due to a
special service by the Holy Cross German community in the main
Sunday, 14th December, 9:30am:
Mass of the 3rd Sunday of Advent, followed in the social hall by a
festival in honor of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, hosted
by the parish's Filipino community.
