Events in September 2014

Saturday, 20th September, 9:30am-2:00pm: Annual ecumenical charity walk along the St. Boniface Trail by the English-language parishes of Frankfurt, starting in the city center at Liebfrauenkirche, Liebfrauenberg, 60311 Frankfurt. Donation €10, with proceeds going to the Franziskustreff breakfast program for the homeless at Liebfrauenkirche. Contact coordinators Jean-Mier Bölinger at tel. (069) 728 386 or Tom Lavell at tel. (069) 2199 6698 for further information or to register. 5:00pm: Joint Mass of the Diocese of Limburg foreign-language Roman Catholic Parishes in honor of the traditional Birth of the Virgin Mary, with Auxiliary Bishop Thomas Löhr presiding, at Frauenfriedenkirche, Zeppelinallee 100, 60487 Frankfurt (Bornheim district). Note: No English-language Mass takes place at Holy Cross this evening.

Sunday, 21st September, 9:30am: Mass of the 25th Sunday in Ordinary Time, including Marian hymns in various languages of the Indian Subcontinent, followed by the annual festival in honor of the traditional Birth of the Virgin Mary in September hosted in the Holy Cross social hall by parishioners from the Subcontinent.

Events in November 2014

Sunday, 16th November, 9:30am: Mass of the 33rd Sunday in Ordinary Time, including Remembrance Day commemorations of military personnel killed in war.

Sunday, 23rd November, 9:30am: Mass of the Feast of Christ the King, followed in the social hall by a Thanksgiving festival hosted by the parish's American community.

Saturday, 29th November, 9:00am-5:00pm*: Advent Day of Reflection (location and precise time to be announced).

Events in Dece,ber 2014

Saturday, 13th December, 7:30pm: Vigil Mass for the 3rd Sunday of Advent takes place in the Holy Cross social hall due to a special service by the Holy Cross German community in the main church.

Sunday, 14th December, 9:30am: Mass of the 3rd Sunday of Advent, followed in the social hall by a festival in honor of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, hosted by the parish's Filipino community, 7:30pm: St. Leonhard's choir performs at the nightly Advent meditation service at Liebfrauenkirche, Liebfrauenberg, 60311 Frankfurt.

Saturday, 20th December and Sunday, 21st December: Exposition of the Holy Sacrament immediately following the regularly scheduled weekend Masses. Note: No after-Mass coffee socials this weekend.
